Due to the current Coronavirus Lockdown restrictions, the school will be closed from Thursday 2nd July.
Welcome to Nether Hall School website, I hope you enjoy finding out about our school.
On behalf of the staff, governors and pupils, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to Nether Hall School. By way of a very brief introduction, we are a special school for 98 pupils aged 4-19 years who have severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties. In addition to their learning difficulties many of pupils have other needs associated with physical disabilities, autistic spectrum condition and medical conditions.
As the new head teacher here I feel both, extremely proud and privileged to be leading such a successful school and very much look forward to meeting with parents and friends of Nether Hall School in the near future. In the meantime I hope you enjoy exploring our web site and that it gives you a flavour of the wonderful opportunities we all have to learn, develop and achieve together both academically and socially. It will also provide you with the information and news you need to keep up to date with what is happening here at school.
If you are unable to find what you are looking for or require any further information, do please contact us via the details provided at the bottom of this page.
“There are trusting relationships between staff and pupils. This ensures that pupils are happy at school and feel confident to try new things. The staff know the pupils exceptionally well and challenge pupils to do their best”. Ofsted – March 2017
Nether Hall received a short Ofsted Inspection in March.
We are really pleased that it was recognised that we still provide a good quality of education for all our pupils and that the school is a positive and enjoyable place of learning.
Please read the whole report on our Ofsted Report section in "About Us".
"I could not be happier with the quality of the education that my child receives. The staff are extremely dedicated, understand my child’s needs really well and work creatively and flexibly to meet these needs." (Parent comment via Parent View 2017)
