Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Councils and the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) for the area are engaging on a new, draft Joint Commissioning Strategy for SEND. The strategy contains a high-level vision for joint commissioning ‘‘we will work together across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to improve the outcomes for children and young people with SEND’ and a set of priorities for the focus of joint work in the coming 3 years. Views are being sought from anyone interested in the strategy and joint working around SEND. Find out more on the link above. Deadline 31 January 2021.
Leicester City Council are seeking responses to help develop a plan to transform services for children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities and their families which builds on the SEND Strategy from 2019. We want to provide children and young people with SEND in Leicester City with the support and opportunities they need to have better lives which ‘enables children and young people with SEND to learn, thrive and achieve.’ There are four proposed strategic aims with potential priorities to focus the work over the next 3 years.
We would to hear from parents/carers, governors, children and young people, and professionals on how current services are delivered, how they can be improved, and how we can work together to ensure children, young people and their families are actively involved in service planning and developments. Deadline Sunday, 14 February. Find out more on the above link.
